June the 2nd saw the arrival of the Tres Hombres in the port of Amsterdam, a scooner packed to the brim with barrels of rum and bags of raw Cacao beans from the Caribbean. Smells like chocolate went to take a look at the off-loading of the cargo. Using only wind and man power to sail across the atlantic, we were not surprised to see the off-loading being done using ropes, pulley's and brute strength. The cacao on board was brought to the Chocolate maker's warehouse. They used these beans in the production of some of their chocolate.
